Readers Theatre by Christ Church Celebration Troupe presents the play Easter, directed by Dale Fawthrop, Friday and Saturday at 7 in Christ Church Sanctuary. There’s Music at the Mall at the Amherst Center this Saturday. Jerry Metz, Brain Davis and Jim Steele will be performing at the Amherst Artisans market from 11-1. At the Market Café Ray Legere and Frank Doody will be playing from 1-3. You can always get a great breakfast at the Amherst Market Café. The Grand Opening of the refreshed café with a strong international menu is coming in the near future.  

The Hall in Parrsboro will be holding music workshops this spring. Apr 13-14, it’s Songs From the Heart”, a choral Workshop, with Stephen Muise from Men of the Deeps. It’s open to everyone and no experience is necessary. The cost is $50. For more information, call 902-728-2144.

The Sackville Fireman’s Pancake and Maple Syrup Breakfast is Saturday April 13 from 7-11 at the Sackville Fire Station. The cost is $8 for adults, $5 for seniors and kids and thoe under 3 are free.

There’s a Fundraiser for the Veno/Rogers family Saturday 8-2 at Teasers. The entertainment will include The Alias Band, C4, Ron Downey and Friends, Jan & Mike, Michelle Leblanc and Drew Polegato. There will be mystery draws throughout the evening. Admission is a donation at the door.

Brookdale United Church has been closed for the winter months, but now is opened for Sunday services at 9:30 to the end of June with Bill Drysdale as minister.

There’s a Boxing Bash Fundraiser for the Bob Edgett Boxing Club Sunday April 14 from 2-6 at George’s Roadhouse. Among the performers will be The Mark Green Band, the Streamliners, The All Time Heavies, Christine Gilroy, R.A. and Jack, and special guest, Theresa Malenfant. Tickets are just $15, at Tidewater Books, Ducky's Pub, Mel's Tea Room, or the Sackville Commons. Any remaining tickets (if any) will be sold at the door.

The Tantramartists present the Joy of Color, April 14-30 at the Cumberland County Museum. It’s an exhibit of artworks by Dale Fehr, Polly parker and Luke Francis. At Sunday’s opening from 2-5, enjoy live music and refreshments from D&E Smoked Meats Kitchen and Catering. Admission is $5.
