Canada Day Amherst

Canada Day celebrations in Amherst start with the Canada Day Run with the Amherst Striders, from the downtown Tim Hortons at 8. The opening ceremony begins at 11:30 in Victoria Square, with Canada Day cake. There will be vendors and activities in the Square, and music too with Mark McMillan Trio from noon -2. From 2-4, it’s the dynamic duo Liz and Ben. The day ends with fireworks from the Robb’s Complex at dusk. Ride your bike to the Canada Day celebrations, and check it in with a bike valet for a chance to win some swag. The town will also be holding a Best Dressed Contest. Show up in all your Canada Day fear to compete.
