Community Shred/Household Hazardous Waste Event

Friday there will be a Community Shred Event at the Amherst Fire Hall for residential materials from 11-2. Saturday, There will be a Hazardous Waste Event at the Amherst Fire hall from 9-noon. What’s accepted? Acids, aerosols, antifreeze, batteries, gasoline, herbicides, pesticides, propane tanks and pool cleaners.

There are Household Hazardous Waste Events on Saturday Oct 5 in Cumberland County, to make-up for the one postponed from Sept 7. [In Parrsboro it’s 8:30-9:30 at the Parrsboro Town Garage. At the Pugwash Transfer Station from 11-noon. At the Oxford Transfer Station from 1-2 and the Dr, carson and Marion Murray Communality Center in the overflow parking lot from 3-4.]
