There will be a Christmas Carol Sing Saturday at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Tidnish Dock. Meet at the church at 2 for carols, the Christmas Story and hot drinks. Dress warmly and bring an extra blanket.

Amherst Town Council is considering amending the Land-Use Bylaw for cannabis-related uses. The draft amendments would create definitions for cannabis retail, cannabis consumption lounges, and define where federally licensed production facilities may locate. A public hearing on this matter will be held on Monday at 6:30 in Town Hall Council Chambers. Council will hear submissions in support or opposition. The Grinch is Live in Amherst at the Community Credit Union Business Innovation Center, Thursday at 7. Tickets are $8 cash only, children under 3 free, when accompanied by an adult.
