Country Gospel Music Night
There will be a Country Gospel Music Night, Sunday Dec 9, at 7 at the Amherst Wesleyan Church. Musical guests include Bus 41 and LP Express. Admission is by donation, with proceeds to support the Christmas Wrap-up Community Blessing Project Dec 15th.

Trider’s Craft Brewery has produced 600 bottles of Gimme Shelter, east coast pale ale to help the L.A. Animal Shelter. Bottles are $6 each with labels featuring 4 Meagan Cormier photos of shelter animals, and are available at Trider’s store in the Amherst and Area Industrial park. Growlers are also available. The Ross Anderson PharmaChoice Teen Center in Springhill is starting a Food Pantry, available to youth in the community to support them outside school hours. The pantry will be open 3-9 daily and will accept all non-perishable food items and toiletries. For more information, call 902-763-3008.

Wallace Country Christmas is Thursday. At the Wallace Community Hall, the baked goods, craft and raffle tables open at 2. The Kids Corner opens at 5. This Thursday thru Sunday, kids under the age of six can buy up to 6 presents for family members, for a dollar-fifty. A "Children’s Christmas Shopping Party" is going on at the Amherst Centre Mall’s Artisans Gallery and Market. The dollar-fifty fee will cover six presents, at a cost of 25 cents each. Take a tour of the beautifully decorated Heritage home, shop a few local vendors while your children decorate cookies and do Christmas crafting.
