Cram a Cruiser

The Amherst Police Department’s Cram A Cruiser event is back. The Crime Prevention Cruiser will be parked at various locations, accepting winter wear and non-perishable food. There is a strong need for snow pants, winter wear in sizes 8 and up for boys and plus sizes for adults. Local Remembrance Day Ceremonies

November 11, 2018

  Remembrance Day ceremonies in Amherst start Sunday at 11:45 at the cenotaph in Victoria Square. Then there is a parade to Trinity St Stephens Church for the Wreath Laying Ceremony.   In Sackville the parade will form up at 9:15 in front of the Sackville Legion, then march off to Convocation Hall for the Remembrance Day Service. The Town of Amherst is holding a Cookie Crawl, Friday Dec 14 from 4-8. Buy your ticket in advance and then take it to Amherst Town Hall on Dec 14, and exchange it for an empty cookie tin and a map of participating businesses that will have Christmas cookies to fill your tin.
