Start the New Year in a fun and healthy way, with the Biggest Challenge at the YMCA of Cumberland. Challenge dates are Jan 8- Apr 3. Justin Bourgeois, a professional MMA fighter, will be offering Kickboxing Classes at the Dr. Carson and Marion Murray Community Center. Youth classes for grades 7-12 are every Monday from 6-7 and start Monday Jan 8. Adult drop-in classes are every Monday from 7-8, beginning Jan 8. The cost is $5 per class. The YMCA of Cumberland has a new 6 week afterschool program beginning in January for girls grade 7-9. After The Bell is free, and is Tuesday’s from 3-4:30 at the Y, starting Jan 9th, and Fridays from 3-4:30 at the EB Chandler gym, starting Jan 12. Activities include trailblazing, snowshoeing, hiking with dogs, skating, Geocaching and more. Space is limited so drop into the Y and register or call 902-667-9112.
