Sunset Community Family Fair
The Sunset Community Family Fair is Sat July 22 from 1-4. They will have music from Eric Fresia, the Clan Band, Jaycee Hawks and the Ukulele Band. There will also be a 4H petting zoo, Sam and Ghost dog tricks, Jull’s Girls and a complimentary tea from 1:30-3. The Pugwash Fire Dept will have an ice cream booth. There will be a large gift and craft sale and a Sunset Industries display. Proceeds to the Sunset Ladies Auxiliary.

The King Seaman Church Annual Service and Reception is Sunday July 23 at 2. Service starts with Rev. Linda MacCulloch officiating. Music will be by Jim Scpoie, with a reception to follow. The next YREACH International Cooking Class will feature Malaysian cuisine. Join Shaw, a human nutrition student, working as the Town of Amherst’s Community Food Coordinator for the Getting’ Healthy program. This month’s class is Monday July 24 from 6-8 at Maggie’s Place. On August 11 the Risha and Rohin Minocha-Mckenney will be heading to Guatemala on a service trip to build bunk beds, feed and care for orphans in some of the most dangerous parts of Guatemala. They are looking for donations of clothes, school supplies, or money to give to these orphanages when they arrive. If you would like to donate please contact them at (902)-667-0550.

Diabetes Canada reminds you that their Clothesline Program that runs all year all over Atlantic Canada. They have drop boxes for clothing donations all over Atlantic Canada and we are looking to raise awareness that these boxes are available for people to submit clothing donations. These donations get sold to Value Village, and 100% of the proceeds go to diabetes research.
