Paws For the Cause – Dance

Paws For the Cause is Sat May 13 from 9-1 in the Scotia Room at the Wandlyn Inn. It will feature Halifax’s top booking party band, Monkey’s Uncle. Tickets are $20 an available at Buds to Blossoms. 100 percent of the profits go to the L.A. Animal Shelter. Presented by Two Fools Productions.

Mother’s Day Turkey Dinner

Police Week Event

May 15-21 is National Police Week. Wednesday May 17 from 10-4, Amherst Police and Cumberland District RCMP are hosting a Police Week Event at the Amherst Center. The event will feature police sections, partner agencies and is open to the public. Madd will have the peddle karts set up to drive for the Madd Kart Challenge. Cumberland Y’s Strong Kids Ball Hockey Cup

The Cumberland Y’s Strong Kids Ball Hockey Cup is Fri May 19, 10-3 in the Y parking lot. Advanced registration is required. Pick up a form at the Y’s front desk.
