Adopt-A-Highway Clean-Up – Joggins
The Joggins Fossil Institute is calling for volunteers to help with its 2017 Adopt-A-Highway Clean-Up Day Wed, May 24. The Clean Up starts at 8:45 a.m. and will take place along Highway 242 between the Joggins Fossil Centre and civil address 1148. Dress appropriately with long-sleeve shirts, long pants and sturdy footwear and to bring sun block, bug repellent and water or juice. Safety vests and gloves will be supplied. The Annual Celebrating Mothers Spring Fashion Show is Fri May 12 starting at 7 at the Amherst Lions Center. 30 Church Women’s Clothing will provide the clothes and footwear. Habitat for Humanity Nova Scotia is holding a Community Build Day on Sat May 13th on the second home in Oxford. You are invited to volunteer for the day to help them bring this home closer to completion. There is room for 25 volunteers.
