Find out more »Registration for the Early Learning Program, offered through the Early Years Center at West Highland Elementary is on Mar 21 through Mar 31. The program is free and is a play based developmentally appropriate program for 4 year olds. To register, you have to live in the West Highlands catchment area, have a birth certificate and be 4 by Dec 31. The United Way of Cumberland County’s Annual General Meeting is Tue Mar 21 at 5 in the United Way office at 16 Church St Unite 206. Funding for member agencies will be distributed and details of the changing role of the United Way will be presented.

The IODE Cobequid Chapter is hold a Ladies night Out Fundraiser, Thursday Mar 23 at 7 in the CIBC room at the Dr Carson and marion Murray Community Center. Vendors include, Sharon’s Chocolates, Mary K, Norwex Products, Monat Hair Products and more. There will also be a fashion show from Jayset. There will be a light lunch and door prizes. Maggie's Place will be hosting two free Income Tax Preparation Clinics. Tuesday March 28th, with appointments available from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. And Monday, April 10th, with appointments available from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm. Childcare Available. The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program is to assist eligible individuals (modest income and a simple tax situation), who are not able to prepare their income tax benefit returns by themselves.
