The Cumberland Chargers, girl’s basketball team, is holding a breakfast, with pancakes and sausages, Sat Mar 11 from 8-11 at West Highlands School. The cost is $7. Proceeds for the team.

The 2017 Fireman’s Winter Carnival is Sat Mar 11 at 6 at the Tantramar Veterans Memorial Civic Center in Sackville. There will be unbelievable costume prizes and amazing draw prizes. Admission is only 50 cents.

CANSA is presenting a Musical Celebration of Our Next Generation, Sat Mar 11 at 6:30 at the Dr Carson and Marion Murray Community Center. Some of the  performers will include Connor Silvea, Felecia and Selema MacDonald, Nathaniel Patriquin, Springhill High Youth Choir, Leah Ruddick, Silvia Doncaster, Valerie MacDonald and the Patriquins. No advance tickets, admission is $5 at the door.

The Air Force Association on Havelock Street, will be hosting a Painting Class by Empty Nest Design, Sun Mar 12 beginning at 2. The all-inclusive cost is $40, and there will be a light lunch. For more information, call Dee at 902-667-2894.

Legion Mega Bingo is Sunday March 12 at the Oxford Legion. $3200 is guaranteed to go. There will be 12 regular games, 4 specials and a jackpot of $1500. Doors open at noon, regular bingo starts at 2. The Drew Foundation was established in 1984 to provide additional financial resources to support the the Drew Nursing Home  in Sackville. The Cumberland Communities Addressing Suicide Together Coalition, is holding a Free Wellness Expo, Sat Mar 25 . There will be 4 talks from 10-noon at the Four Fathers Library. From 1-3 there will concurrent sessions at Hatha Yoga and the Community Room at the Amherst Police Station. Seats are going fast.
