There’s Music at the Mall Saturday at the Amherst Center. It’s a drop in day. You never know who will be playing from 9-1 at the Artisans Gallery. Then Boonie Buddies play from 1-3. The Trider’s Trail Run is Saturday Nov 2. The 6k run begins at Trider’s on Anson Avenue at 3. It will end with a post race beer, a commemorative beer glass and Trider’s soap. There’s a Gospel Benefit Concert for All Saints Anglican Church, Saturday Nov 2. It starts at 6:30 at the All Saints Parish Hall and will feature the music of the Patriquin Family Singers. There will be a silent auction, and they would appreciate a donation during intermission.

There’s a Fundraiser for the historic Church of the Good Shepherd in Tidnish Dock. Music and Song is Sunday Nov 3 at 7, at Christ Church Parish Hall. It will feature Andrew Melanson and Peter Frenette, playing the music of Gordon Lightfoot. Admission is by donation

Christmas For Kids coordinated by the Amherst Lions Club, is back. The Christmas For Kids Center will open Monday Nov 4 and will close Nov 28th, with pick-ups for families Dec 9-13. The referral line will be available Monday to Thursday, at 902-667-1949, for both Christmas For Kids and the Christmas Cheer Food Program. There is a Toy and Gift Bingo tonight at 7 at the Joggins Fire Hall. There will be toys and or gifts for regular and special games, plus there will be a $200 jackpot and door prizes.
