There’s a Benefit at Teasers for Amanda Brown and her 2 boys who lost their home to fire. It’s Saturday Oct 19 starting at 8. The benefit will feature music from Drew Polegato, North of Northwest and Body Paint.

The annual Emergency Service Memorial Parade and church service will be held on Sunday. Participants will parade from the Amherst fire station to First Baptist Church at 1:30 p.m., where a church service will be held. Following the service, the participants will parade back to the fire station for a wreath laying ceremony and a moment of silence in honour of honorary and deceased service members.

The River Phillip Community Hall is hosting a Spooktacular Supper Sunday from 4-6. They will be serving chili or lasagna, with apple crisp and ice cream for dessert. They will also have a costume and a carved pumpkin contest. The cost is $12, $6 for children and free for preschoolers.
