Emergency Services Parade

October 20, 2019 @ 1:30 pm

The annual Emergency Service Memorial Parade and church service will be held on Sunday. Participants will parade from the Amherst fire station to First Baptist Church at 1:30 p.m., where a church service will be held. Following the service, the participants will parade back to the fire station for a wreath laying ceremony and a moment of silence in honour of honorary and deceased service members.

Spooktacular Supper

The River Phillip Community Hall is hosting a Spooktacular Supper Sunday from 4-6. They will be serving chili or lasagna, with apple crisp and ice cream for dessert. They will also have a costume and a carved pumpkin contest. The cost is $12, $6 for children and free for preschoolers.

Halloween at the Springhill Library

There’s a Halloween Party at the Springhill Library, Thursday Oct 24 from 3-4 for grades P-6. Go in costume for a Howling Good Time and some snacks. Children under 9, must be accompanied by an adult. Kidney Foundation Variety Show

The 9th Annual Parrsboro Film Festival is Friday thru Sunday Oct 25-27. The Gala Night is Friday. The winners of the short film competition will be announced Saturday night.
