The Multicultural Association of Cumberland is celebrating diversity in Cumberland County by hosting a Multicultural Color Festival, Saturday Sept 7 from 10:30-1 at Dickey Park and Splash Pad. Friday there will be a Community Shred Event at the Amherst Fire Hall for residential materials from 11-2. Saturday, There will be a Hazardous Waste Event at the Amherst Fire hall from 9-noon. What’s accepted? Acids, aerosols, antifreeze, batteries, gasoline, herbicides, pesticides, propane tanks and pool cleaners. There are Household Hazardous Waste Events on Saturday Oct 5 in Cumberland County, to make-up for the one postponed from Sept 7.
