The Bridge Adult Service Center Client Council is having a BOTTLE DRIVE to raise funds for our trip to The Magnetic Hill Zoo on Sept 3. If you, your organization or business would like to help them out, take refundable pop,  liquor and juice cans bottles and boxes to 16 Station Street or call 902-667-8433 and they would be very happy to pick up!

Multi Cultural Day

Cumberland County celebrates Multi Cultural Day Thursday 10-3 at Victoria Square. The Opening Ceremony is at 10, with JJ Bear Elder, with entertainment from 10:30-3. Two tents will be set up. In tent #1, there will be ethnic food sampling from noon-1, plus a number of demonstrations. In tent 2 you will find displays from 38 countries, representing people now living in Cumberland County. Music at the Mall

There’s Music at the Mall this Saturday at the Amherst Center. R.A. and Drew Moore will be playing at the entrance to the Artisans Gallery from 11-1. Jerry Metz and Lost highway will entertain at the Market Café from 1-3. And thewre’s always good food at the Market Café, with Caribbean, Korean and traditional cuisine.

Canada Day Springhill

Springhhill’s Annual Canada Day celebrations are Sunday June 30 at Lion’s park. At 1 there’s a double header between the Springhill U11 Fencebusters and the Oxford Sluggers, and the BBQ will be on. At 5, there’s a bicycle rodeo. The Canada Day cake will be cut at 7:30 and fireworks will be at dusk.

Canada Day Pugwash

July 1, 2019

The Gathering of the Clans in Pugwash begins with a sausage and pancake breakfast at 7:30 at the Pugwash Fire Station. The Highland Dance Competition starts at 8:30, the Grand parade is at 10, the Highland Games and the Pipe andDrum Co9mpetitions start at 11. This year’s entertainment will be at the new Pugwash Harbourfront Center, and will feature Christina Martin and Dale Murray, Aycia Putnam and Family, Doris Mason and headliners Rawlins Cross. Canada Day Amherst

Canada Day celebrations in Amherst start with the Canada Day Run with the Amherst Striders, from the downtown Tim Hortons at 8. The opening ceremony begins at 11:30 in Victoria Square, with Canada Day cake. There will be vendors and activities in the Square, and music too with Mark McMillan Trio from noon -2.
