There’s a Church Supper at the Malagash Community Hall Saturday from 4-6. The cost is $12 for adults, $6 for children 12 and under and free for preschoolers.

Archway Insurance Run for the Sun and the Cross Border Challenge is presenting A Summer Kick-Off Beer Garden, Saturday from 9-1 at the Amherst Stadium. Big Fish is back again. Tickets are $15 and available at the YMCA of Cumberland front desk. The event sold out the first 2 years, so get your tickets in advance.

A Fill the Tent Food Drive is happening at the Amherst Artisans’ Market at the Amherst Center, next Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10-3 each day. Food Bank volunteers will be on hand to accept your donations of food or money, The Amherst Food Bank appreciates your support, in keeping their shelves stocked over the summer.

It provides kids with skills to play different sports, survive in the wild, make crafts and have fun. Each week will have its own theme. The program also includes geocaching, yoga, trail blazing and a trip to Magic Mountain. The Outdoor Adventure Program starts Tuesday. For more information, call 902-763-3000.

Cumberland County celebrates Multi Cultural Day Thursday 10-3 at Victoria Square. The Opening Ceremony is at 10, with JJ Bear Elder, with entertainment from 10:30-3. Two tents will be set up. In tent #1, there will be ethnic food sampling from noon-1, plus a number of demonstrations. In tent 2 you will find displays from 38 countries, representing people now living in Cumberland County.
