Ducks Unlimited will be holding their 37th Annual Fundraising Dinner and Auction, Friday May 3 at 6 at the Amherst Curling Club. The dinner will feature a silent and live auction and throughout the evening, a number of special raffles. Tickets are $45 for a steak or lobster dinner. VON Cumberland’s Bowling Fundraiser is Saturday May 4 at the King Pin Bowling Alley. You can bowl as a couple or a team of up to 6. The cost is $15 per person for 3 strings of bowling. Contact the King Pin to register and pick your times at 902-667-5678. There will be prizes, 50/50’s door prizes, raffle tickets and a lotto ticket tree raffle. Proceeds support VON Cumberland’s Charitable Programs.

The 37th Annual Highland Fling Family Fun Fair is Saturday May 11 9-1 at the Amherst Curling Club. This year’s goal is to raise $35,000 to buy a mannequin simulator, to support nursing and other medical professionals in developing and maintaining skills.
