Spring Fling and Market,
You are invited to Spring Street Academy’s Spring Fling and Market, Saturday April 27 from 10-2. There will be a bouncy castle, games, and prizes and more. There will be a Vendor Village this year. The admission and the bouncy castle are free. Games are pay to play

The Cumberland Y Service Club, the Amherst Y’s Menettes and community volunteers will be holding a Door to Door Food Drive, Sat Apr 27 from 10-noon in Amherst. If you ae not going to be home, leave your food bag on the front step.

There’s Music at the Mall this Saturday, with Michelle LeBlanc playing at the entrance to the Amherst Artisans Gallery from 11-1. LP Express will be playing at the Market/Café from 1-3. And at the Market Café grab a great breakfast.

The 15th Sackville Rotary Spring Bash is Saturday April 27 starting at 7 at Tantramar Regional High. Wine, beer and spirit tasting is from 7-9. Then there’s a dance with Liz and Ben from 9-midnight. Tickets are $40. Go to sackvillerotary.ca And don’t forget the Sackville Rotary Gold Mine Weekly Toonie Draw. Make sure you play your numbers before midnight Sunday.

The Amherst 50+ Club is holding a Spring Dance Saturday 8-10:30 at their hall on Croft Street. Music from Jerry Metz and Lost Highway. Admission is a donation at the door. There will be a 50/50 draw during the intermission, and a light lunch after the dance. Anyone 50 or older is welcome.

YMCA Healthy Kids Day is this Sunday, at the YMCA of Cumberland. It’s an afternoon of fun. The events start with a free swim from 1-2 and from 2-4, fun activities and healthy snacks! YMCA Healthy Kids Day is a national day dedicated to improving the health and well-being of kids and families across Canada.

The Joggins Fossil Center will be hosting a presentation by the Minudie Heritage Association on the thousands of letters from the Amos Seaman family. Saved letters sent among family members, friends and relatives, as well as to and from business associates, politicians, organizations and immigrants, for over 160 years. Children’s Wish Krispy Kreme Donuts
Children’s Wish Foundation is bringing Krispy Kreme doughnuts to Amherst again. Order yours at childrenswish.ca/krispykreme until May 9th. They will be delivered fresh on May 16th. Doughnuts can be picked up at the McIsaac Darragh office between 7:30am – 9:30am. Your support of the Children’s Wish Foundation enabled local wish child, Mackenzie Haylock, and her family to go on a Disney cruise wish trip.
