  The students of E.B. Chandler and the band Second Toe are presenting an Evening of Music, Friday night from 7-10, in the school cafeteria. Second Toe will be on hand to assist students with their music and may even play a tune or two. It’s a casual night with snacks, tea and coffee and punch as the music students raise awareness for the arts and to raise money fro music programs at E.B. and Amherst Regional High.

The Amherst Masons are serving breakfast Saturday morning from 7:30-10:30 at their temple on Lawrence Street. They will have eggs, bacon or sausage, hash browns and more. $7 for adults, $4 for children under 12.  

  There will be a Pancake Breakfast at the Southampton Community Centre on Saturday from 8-11. The cost is $8 adults 5-12 $5 and kids under 5 free.  

The Girl Guides will be going door to door this Saturday in Amherst from 10-2, selling their famous original camp cookies. Heartz Hall will their base of operations.

The 4th Annual Rod Wilson Memorial Pool Tournament is Saturday April 6 at Doolys in Amherst. It’s a Scotch Doubles format, with registration at 12:30 and play at 1. The cost is $30 per team. Proceeds to the Lukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada and the Rod Wilson Memorial Scholarship.

The Wallace District Volunteer Fire Department is holding its Annual Pancake Supper on Sunday at the J. Millard Charman Community Hall, Route 6, Wallace. (The supper is really a hearty breakfast of pancakes, maple sausages, beans, buns, biscuits, tea, coffee or juice, and desert.) Doors open at 11:30 and the firefighters and auxiliary members will be serving until 6. Admission is $9 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.  

Charm Diamond Center in the Amherst Center has partnered with the After the School Bell Food Program For Kids. Take a non-perishable food items from their preferred foods list to their location next to Charm, this Wednesday from 9-3 and you will get a ballot to win a special edition Royal Doulton figurine.
