There’s a Teen Dance at the Amherst lions Center, Friday March 29 from 7-9:30. Music from DJ Dave. The dance is open to all teens between 13 and 17. The Lions will have a canteen on site for snacks and refreshments. The cost is $6 and doors open at 6:45.

Cumberland Smile will be holding their annual walk/run fundraising event on Saturday, March 30. They will  have a 5 km, 10 km route along with a 1 km family route so everyone can get involved. Register at the Wallace McCain Building, at 9, the run starts at 10. Registration fee is $10 Participate and help support the Smile/Shine program so we can help more children SMILE. Proudly supported by the United Way of Cumberland County.

There’s a Country/Bluegrass Show at the Amherst Center this Saturday from 1-3 in the Artisans Gallery’s Market Café.  R.A. and Jack and Slim Pickens are the featured performers. There’s no charge, there will be a 50/50 and there will be food on site.

The Sackville Legion is hosting a Dessert Café Fundraiser, Sat March 30 from 2-5. All proceeds are for the Alzheimer Society and will be distributes to Alzheimer projects in Sackville.

The Amherst Fire Fighters Association is hosting a Comedy Night, Saturday March 30 at 7 at the Fire Hall. It will feature Bob Mann. This event had to be cancelled earlier this month because of weather. If you bought tickets for the original performance, they will be honored Saturday. If you don't have tickets they're $12. The Great Lumberjack Maple Luncheon is coming Sunday March 31 to the First Baptist Church.
