Amherst Fire Department Glow Bingo is back Friday March 1 at 7 at the Amherst Firehall. This time there is an 80’s theme. So get your glow in the dark costumes ready, because there will be prizes. This time there’s glow in the dark paper, pre-set game packs and advanced ticket sales. There will be a cash bar so you have to be 19+

The Amherst Firefighter Association is hosting a Comedy Night, Saturday March 2 at 8 at the Amherst Fire Hall. The show will feature Bob Mann and will be hosted by Marc Sauve. Tickets are $12. There’s a Pancake Supper at St. Andrews Wesley United Church in Pugwash Tuesday March 5 from 4-6. The cost is $10 for adult6s, $6 for ages 6-12 and free for those 5 and under. Local take-outs are available. (call 902-242-2623) Proceeds for church purposes.

The Holy Family parish is holding a Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper, Tuesday March 5 from 4-6. They will be serving their pancakes with sausage and homemade baked beans. Cost is $7 for adults, $4 for children under 12. It’s sponsored by the Holy Family Catholic Women’s League.
