Springhill Ground Search and Rescue are conducting a MOCK search in Springhill this evening starting around 7pm. This is a Project Life Saver Association Nova Scotia search using electronic search methods to find a person missing from their home or area. Members will be walking on the streets of Springhill dressed in search clothing and using the electronic search devices.

The 8th annual Progressive Agriculture Safety Day is this Friday, at the Oxford Arena. The day will run from 9-2 and will feature 16 interactive displays for the approximately 370 Grades 4 & 5 students from all Cumberland County elementary schools.

Amherst Fire Department Glow Bingo is back Friday April 26 at 7:30. This time it’s going to be a Hawaiian Luau and the costumes will be bright and colorful. Advance tickets are $30 and go on sale April 12 at the Needs store at the Shell on South Albion Street. DJ Neal will have the music pumping all night and there will be couple of Hawaiian contests.
