Cumberland Y – Tai Chi
The YMCA of Cumberland will be offering a 4 week winter session of Tai Chi beginning Jan 25. The sessions are Thursday nights from 7-8. Registration deadline is Jan 23. The annual Cumberland Health Care Foundation "Light the Way" campaign continues til end of the month, to raise money to buy medical equipment. You can buy a light, wreath, snowman, or angel and dedicate it in someone's memory or in honor of someone special to you. Carly Jackson, former Cumberland County Minor Hockey Association player and now a goalie for the University of Maine Women’s Hockey team, will be running two Goal Tending Sessions for Minor hockey players. Monday December 18th 9:00pm-10:00pm for Peewee age and above and Saturday December 23rd 7:15am-8:15am for atom aged goalies and below. The Annual Holiday Silent Auction continues til Thursday, at the YMCA of Cumberland. They have also added a holiday food auction. All bidding ends on Thursday at 4. Items will be available for pick-up at the YMCA of Cumberland on Friday at noon. All proceeds from both auctions go towards Y’s Strong Kids Campaign.

Amherst Youth Town Council is hosting a Holiday Family Movie Night, Thursday Dec 21 at 6 at the Community Credit Union Innovation Center. The event is free of all ages. There will be popcorn, candy canes and hot chocolate for everyone. This is a tobacco and alcohol free event.

The 2018 Look at Us Now-L.A. Animal Shelter calendars are still available til Christmas, but are in limited numbers. Find them at the Amherst Veterinary Hospital, Park Your Paws and Manasseh. They are also available at Maritime Mosaic, where they also have other Shelter gifts . The calendars are $20 each and feature the furry friends at the Shelter.
